New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a Republican presidential candidate, slammed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on CBS's Face the Nation on Sunday, calling her "unaccountable."

“I think what the American people dislike most about Hillary Clinton is that she refuses to be held accountable,” he said.

Host John Dickerson asked Christie about his criticism of the House Select Committee on Benghazi hearing. Christie last week called the hearing ineffective.

“It think they were,” he said. “The fact is, we should be talking about what matters. Secretary Clinton says that she was not responsible for what happened there. She says other security professionals are responsible yet she didn’t fire anybody.”

Dickerson pointed out that people said similar things about Christie over the George Washington Bridge scandal that created a traffic jam on the world’s busiest bridge.

Christie said bad things happen sometimes, adding that he fired the people responsible within 24 hours of the news coming out.

As for Clinton, he said, she has no accountability or transparency.

“Everything’s had to be dragged out of her," he said. "I don’t think they did an effective job at getting at that.”
