Chinese student defends himself in armed robbery in U.S.

It is becoming increasingly risky to study in the US, esp for Chinese students. Equiped with little self-defence knowledge, they seem hopeless in the armed robbery. The following story is an exception. Should students be encouraged to arm themselves for self-defence? (CRI) When three men broke into his apartment in U.S., Zhang, a Chinese student shot at them. The incident went loose within Chinese social media. The incident occurred early December, when Zhang was studying in the dining room and three men, at least one understood to be armed, came into his apartment. Zhang fired a shot at the men and called the police. The men fled. A few weeks later a body was found, the police confirmed that this was the man Zhang shot at and he died as he was escaping the apartment.
